Tim Sawyer's book King Pawn is a good survey of the e4 openings drawn from games he has played since the Seventies. His anecdotes are charming and the games are instructional. The book is well organized and covers some unexpected options in the play as his opponents try to trip him up. I want to review this to give the author credit for covering a collection of accessible e4 openings. I could not find these openings together in another book except for in some repertoire books for black which is not what I wanted.
