It was just like the book in the movie and was such a good read for my 10 year old. It goes up to 189 pages so it's pretty thick and kept her occupied a long time.

It's full of negative self-talk and critical jabs between "friends." I'm sure a lot of people think it's not such a big deal (as evidenced by all the glowing five star reviews). When my boyfriend's seven year old asked for this over and over again and he actually looked at it, he was disappointed to have to tell her no - but as usual, Disney is NOT promoting the language and values that build healthy minds and stable young adults. It's sad because this IS a pretty book and a lot in it would be lovely to read and look at - but its practically impossible to find role models that are expressing ideas and actions we would ever want our kids to emulate. Very disappointing.
