Garden Themed Adult Coloring Book By K Adams I bought this in a set with Zen (Coloring for Mindfulness) Zen: 50 mandalas to help you de-stress (Coloring for mindfulness). They measure just over 8.5 inches tall by 6.5 inches wide, larger than most pocket or travel books but smaller than most regular coloring books. The designs are printed back to back, on both sides of the page. I included 2 images from Zen, 1 picture that I colored and the backside of the picture, to illustrate the paper thickness and book binding. The images with pink pens are from Garden, the 2 images with blue are from Zen. I do this to respect copyright laws and to protect artists' work from being stolen.The paper is a slightly thicker than regular copy paper, but it is not as thick of cardstock as say Secret Garden or Animal Kingdom. If you are only planning on using colored pencils, the paper thickness should be fine. If you like to use markers, you will likely have bleed through. I colored the mandala picture below. I used Stabilo 88 markers, Prismacolor Premier colored pencils and Macro Rafine colored pencils. The picture after the mandala is a close up of the design on the back of the mandala I colored. You can see where I used the Stabilo pens. The pages are not perforated and some of the images are in the binding. Again, see the blue mandala I colored. The tip of it is inside of the binding. I could not even get to it to color it. The only way for me to complete the picture would be to unbind the book.Garden has 44 full page designs and 11 designs that ask you to finish or add to them. That is nice if you also enjoy drawing or doodling but can be a draw back if you simply enjoy coloring inside the lines. The designs vary in skill level, from fairly simple to very intricate.

It's a little smaller then the normal size but that's good if you travel and want to take it along. The pictures are super cute and not too intricate. They are double sided and pencils would work best as gels etc. will bleed through. Hope to find more like this.
1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Beautiful garden designs but printed on both sides of page By iiiireader This is a lovely book of line drawings which deal with garden themes. Some are more delicate than others. There are 50 designs in this coloring book (including the one on the cover of the book!) There are trees, flowers, birds of many kinds (including owls), and much more. The coloring book was originally published in France in 2013 but is now published in the UK (and sold here) as of 2015.The format is smaller than most books at slightly less than 7 x 9 inches. The paper is white and it is not perforated. The designs are printed on both sides of the page and a number of them include intricate details.My gel pens and markers all leak through the paper, so if I want to do both sides, I will need to use pencils. The designs are a mix of styles with some spread across two pages with the designs going right into the binding (which is hard to color.) With the ones printed on one page, some have space between the binding and the art and some do not. Additionally, there are pages were the designers have left blank space for you to be able to draw and complete your own design.The printing of the book is well done with no misprints, etc. I really like the artwork but wish it had been printed on a single side or printed on a paper that allowed me to use inks without damaging the backside of the book. As it is, I will probably pick and choose if there are some things I don't mind destroying (such as the open artwork.) As this is true of both books I have from this publisher, I will assume that all from them are similar. I will probably still buy future books if the subject matter is appealing. I just wish more publisher would start paying attention to what we, their customers, really want in a coloring book.
