There are still unanswered questions about Lisa's duplicitous character with Jake and Winston! Does Jake really end up with a two-timer like Lisa? Will Dee have a real relationship with Grayson, or will she continue to pine after Winston, who is still pining after Lisa? This abrupt ending made this whole series a waste of time. It's too bad that Jake and Dee loved such awful people. There was no HEA for anybody!

Torn By Ms. Waldron I have enjoyed this series based on the police investigation and murderers however I have really grown tired of the games that the character of Lisa continues to play with her boyfriend and her coworker. As an adult reading this book it's just become like reading the store of an adolescent. Would like to see a great ending to this story including Lisa growing up and taking responsibility for her behavior and to stop using her past as an excuse for behavior. Still love Dee.

The series started out with a wonderful couple who were dealing with emotional issues from their past. Lisa and Jake's dynamic relationship helped them to heal each other's wounds. I have never despised a character as Lisa. She played two men who one, was infatuated (Winston) and the other (Jake) loved her. She knew her partner Dee had feelings for Winston but that knowledge made her manipulate Winston's feelings even more.What kind of police department would continuously employ her!!! She brought all kinds of drama to that department.I wish Ms.Deanne would have written a conclusion on Jake and Lisa's relationship. I get she was caught up between her indecisiveness in which man she wanted. But how could you turn a good, honest character as Lisa began in the first book into an egotistical tramp!
