About the Author Thomas E. Harvey has a view of things that is slightly askew. “There’s a lot going on in our world and I think one thing that helps us get through the day is a sense of humor.” That humor, and a sense of wonder, comes through in his writing. Tom grew up in Ohio and has a political science degree from Ohio University and a degree in art from the University of Akron. He served as operations officer on a minesweeper in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. His working career was spent in advertising and marketing, including work as a copywriter, graphic designer, advertising manager - and about two hours as a catalog model. In his late 20s, he learned how to fly airplanes, including commercial and instrument training. In his late 40s, he learned how to scuba dive becoming a Master Diver. In his late 60s, he is retired and basking in the Florida sunshine, writing books, playing tennis and enjoying spending your Social Security payments.Tom’s first general interest book was Into the Drink! True Diving Stories. He has also written marketing research books on wind energy, geothermal power, small wind turbines and geothermal heat pumps.

I am sure that it was a totally delightful read from the blush of a first romance through the reality of ancestral grave-strolling to a terror moment of learning to fly. Thomas Harvey hits each key perfectly: humor, pathos, pain . . . everything in between. Grab your favorite beverage, take a deep breath and climb aboard.Bill Miles

And indeed they accurately describe this collection of real life experiences the author offers up for our reading pleasure. Great gift gift book as well, as the stories have a universal appeal.
