I have used coloring pencils and markers and the pictures come out very nice. Very relaxing. A good choice for anyone who wants to destress! Thanks Cheryl for the great designs!

Wild Child is aptly named with its fun, wild, creative designs. Most of the pictures remind me of of kaleidoscope designs. One is of a sunrise over rolling hills with a tree bordering. Four have part of a woman's face, and those are actually my favorite. A couple have flowers. One has butterflies with flowers. Some remind me of sea anemone. To see more pages than what the Look Inside feature shows, go to the 2old2color.com website or the 2old2colorgallery facebook page.One of the fun things about the 2old2colorgallery is that other people post their finished pages, and it is inspiring to see how they have done their designs. Some use glitter pens, some use felt tips, some use colored pencils or crayons. They are all beautiful and work well with these designs. I love that Cheryl Shireman created that facebook page, because it brings together a community of colorists.This book works for all ages. I share mine with girls aged 7 to 13. The neutral designs are also appealing to boys (maybe even men?) who have an artistic side. Wild Child is not aimed at females only, like so many of the coloring books.With 40 pages to color, this book is more generous than most that have 23 to 30 pages. They are printed on one side only, nice quality white paper.

I purchased this one and vol. 2 at the same time and chose which one to keep and which to give a friend and I find myself jelous that I gave her this one! Especially when I see the different eye pictures she's colored, but at least she's let me peruse this book and steal a few of my favorites!!!!! Getting vol. 5 for Christmas!!!! Can't wait!
