About the Author Danny Tieger can tie a bow tie, enjoys wearing silly hats, and hopes to live in a tree house someday. His dad taught him how to write songs in middle school and he's been doing it ever since. Danny writes music for television and film with his band, Peter Panic. He's also performed for thousands of kids in hundreds of schools across America with the Story Pirates, an educational theater company. He lives in Brooklyn, New York.

This is a perfect guide for both kids who love the arts and who are intimidated by creativity or feel they are not good at being creative. It's a simple, accessible, and fun book that really brings light to the joy of songwriting and storytelling. My sister is a teacher and is planning on utilizing it in her classroom this year with her students during the creative writing module as well to help emphasize how many familiar ways there are to use your imagination. Bring the music program to you!

He has written two songs already. He just sang them to me on Skype. It's so much fun to watch his creativity bubble up. This is a perfect gift for any creative kid!
