It was just what I was looking for! As someone who oversees psychology and social work trainees, I had always pieced together CBT resources. This puts it together in a logical easy way without being over the top (like a manual can be sometimes). I love the online stuff that goes with it. There is also great info about supervision. That is something that was definitely lacking in the field. This is going to make my life easier and make my training efforts more effective. Thank you!

By Susan Stagno Dr. Sudak and her colleagues have provided us with a remarkable resource with their book "Teaching and Supervising Cognitive Behavioral Therapy". This volume will serve any mental health professional who is involved in training future therapists very well. The book itself provides practical, up-to-date (including the use of technology), and evidence-based information and advice for those teaching and supervising this critical competency for psychiatry residents, psychology graduate students and others. The book includes chapters on measurement of competency of CBT skills, and how to provide feedback to our trainees, as well as 'priming' our trainees for how to become life-long learners.In addition to the book itself, there are extremely helpful resources provided in an online companion website that includes videos, forms, assessment tools, course modules and syllabi which are inclusive and extremely useful for both individual learning and faculty development programs.Susan Stagno MD
