Helpful Guidance to Veterans Who Want to Pursue Their Creative Aspirations By J Lee Justin Sloan's new book is a good read for anyone interested in getting into writing, acting, directing and producing. This book piggybacks on the previous book Creative Writing Careers Sloan released last year. Like the other book, the majority of the book is based on interviews with people who have successfully gotten into some type of creative career, but this time, geared towards those who have served our country. That said, some of the tools mentioned can be used by anyone.Everyone gets to their destination via different means. Through interviews, the reader gets a strong overview on the various approaches military veterans have utilized to get to where they are today, helping readers with tools, sources, information, and tips for them to use and access. Containing many helpful hints and plenty of encouragement, the stories are fun to read and should give anyone with creative aspirations, whether they are former veterans or not, the guidance to go for it!

By Trevor Scott This book is an incredible resource for anyone transitioning to a career in a creative field or already working in one. The interviews are all with military veterans who have successfully transitioned to writing, acting, film making, video games, etc., but anyone can find inspiration and insight from them, not just veterans. Required reading for anyone in a creative industry.

An Outstanding Resource By Brian McLaughlin This is an outstanding resource for anyone starting a career in the entertainment industry, even more so for those leaving the military. Full of candid observations and advice from people who are on this career path and have been at it long enough to have learned some valuable lessons.
