By Steve Thomas As a retired editor, I've advised many would-be writers that for easy reading, it works to use a conversational style - just have something to say, and say it.This book reads like the war stories you might expect to hear in a bar. Unfortunately, I read this book when I was sober. Schiller repeatedly reveals himself as an arrogant, egotistical unapologetic jerk. One of the rules of writing fiction is to have a protagonist one can sympathize with. If I ever am stranded in a blizzard, poorly dressed for winter weather, and a guy offers me a ride to the next exit, 15 miles away, I'd regret accepting the ride if Schiller were the driver.Well, Schiller can call himself a published author, now. With luck, he won't inflict the reading public with a second book. If you so drunk enough that you can't read and need to use TextToSpeech, this might the perfect book for that occasion.Individual sentences are pretty much grammatical, words are generally spelled correctly, paragraphs are well-formed, and the chapters are fairly well organized. If only Schiller had something to say that was worth listening to!

(Were the reviews here by the author's friends and relations)? About a third of the way through, I finally gave up, having not laughed or even smiled, and skipped forward to the title story, which is actually misnamed (Spoiler Alert): he didn't actually pick her up, she just knocked on his door! The stories are mostly about people misbehaving after a few (or many) drinks, and the results are often more disgusting than funny (lots of scatological material). Go read Dave Barry if you want to read something actually funny.

Very Entertaining Fun By Mary Ellen If you've ever been in sales or to any sort of regional or national convention, you will love this book.Even if you haven't you will enjoy this funny book, which is full of amusing true (Dan says and I believe him) stories.There were even a couple of warm & fuzzy parts (IMHO, YMMV).I was going to give it four stars until I got to "Dan the Man took my money!!", which made me chuckle out loud and upped it to five.
