Thank you Lee Carey, for an enjoyable two evenings of reading!Since I grew up during the same years, a lot of this book rang true for me. I remember my parents and their 'rules' too. I thought they were SO out of touch!! I remember the feeling of freedom when I was old enough to use the car and I certainly remember my first car (although it was in a bit better shape than his). I am admitting for the first time that I, too, tampered with a report card or two...I just didn't get caught.Even though I was a girl, the changes in the world shown throughout "My 5 Memorable Haircuts" resonated with me. Of course, my first haircut was in one of those well established 'Beauty Salons' of the late 50's and yes, my last one was at the local 'Big Box Salon' with everything in between except the Army barber. Life has changed for us girls too!If you enjoy a bit of nostalgia with a large dose of humor thrown in, you'll enjoy reading these stories.

If You Dance...You Will Pay the Fiddler By Larry A five star review goes out to Lee Carey for his short anthology of short stories entitled, "If You Dance...You Will Pay the Fiddler." Included are six stories providing lessons and morals for all, not just one lad with slightly immature behavior. Unfortunately for the author, his father was much the wiser of the two during those developmental years. I challenge you to read through this book and not shed a tear or two along the way, and perhaps even a touch of sympathy for not only the author but some of his friends.

By Mel Comley If you love short stories this is a must read, even if you don't usually read them this collection of stories will have you engrossed in no time at all.They make you laugh, and in some instances, cry. I loved the story about Buddy in particular. The friendship which developed between boy and animal, the joys and the sadness which ended their friendship.I intend to read everything Lee has published and I would recommend you do too, you won't be disappointed.Thanks Lee.
