There's a deliberate mystery about Misha Bulgari's real identity and plenty of hints and promises of some juicy revelations in the future but this is smart writing, clever, witty, downright funny, poignant and tremendously entertaining. You can't help liking Misha, this loving, overweight and rebellious young lady, a great character with a warm heart and a gift for total honesty that spares nobody's blushes. There's a surprising love interest too and enough romance to set the scene for further adventures.I find that most romantic stories are seriously light on content. Misha Bulgari is overflowing with depth and fun and delicious hints of naughtiness that made it impossible to put down.This first book in what will obviously be a series is centred on Misha's need to get her weight under control. It's a memorable and fabulous cast of characters and I can't wait to find out what happens to them next. About the Author Hi, Gorgeous. I'm Misha Bulgari and I'm so glad you could join me on my exciting adventures in the wonderful world of weight loss. As we've only just met, I should really start by being completely honest with you. After all, you're going to be tagging along on this adventure - so you probably need to know a few little personal details about me first, don't you? Maybe we should start with the obvious. You're probably wondering what I look like, right? Well, I've never been what you might call petite. And 'skinny' probably wouldn't be the first word that sprang to mind when you caught a glimpse of my silhouette. No. The fact is that I might've been carrying a few extra pounds here and there. OK. More than a few. Alright, already! A lot! A lot of extra pounds. Are you happy now? Let's just say that there's been a lot of junk in the trunk. And yes, it's sometimes been hard to figure out where the belly ends and the boobs begin. Do you really need this much detail? Will you be needing my gynecologist's phone number too? Jeez! Some people. But hey - some guys actually like bigger gals. Thank the good Lord there are still enough weirdos out there to make life interesting. And I definitely have big bones too. And, just for your personal information, extra weight happens to run in the family - though most of the time it just seems to hang precariously over the front of the elasticated waistbands.

By Suspense and Thriller Lover I really enjoyed this story about the life of the incredibly funny Misha Bulgari and her family of outsize misfits. Whoever she really is, Misha writes beautifully and she has a gift for telling a great story. There were times when I had to read passages out loud to my partner and we curled up with laughter. It’s that funny. I don’t know if the book was written with TV in mind but the imagery and situations would translate perfectly to the small screen. Her family is completely nuts - just like my own - and that’s another reason why the narrative works so well. It really is well written and thoroughly enjoyable. On a point of interest, I’ve been following the advice from a great nutritionist and the details in Misha’s descriptions are absolutely accurate. She must have followed the regime for real to know how it really feels. I only hope I’ll be as successful as Misha Bulgari in shedding my excess weight!I gave this book five stars because it really made me laugh, I really loved the characters, I loved the writing and I want to encourage Misha Bulgari to hurry up and write more books in the series. There’s clearly more to come and I can’t wait to find out what happens next.

It’s a memorable and fabulous cast of characters and I can’t wait to find out what happens to them next. Written in first person, the main character, Misha, is a hilarious and witty protagonist, searching for a solution to her current weight issue. From Fat to Fatale is one of the funniest books that I have read in a long time. What I liked about it was how different it is from all the other books that I have read. I look forward to reading the next book in this series!I received a review copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.
