Just in case (memories of a former flying fearful) By Teresa Guarita Knowing how long travel flights (no matter how pleasant destination may eventually be...) always put me nervous/anxious, a dearest friend offered me "a coloring book that will relax you as no sleeping pill will ever do". Having never tried something similar before (maybe when I was a kid, but it was too long ago to even remember it), I was at first a bit suspicious, to say the least.To make a long story short: it worked for me! Flight, as planned, took about 7 hours or so, but never before 400 minutes looked to me so fast.Book is great, but will only work if you take it seriously, hands on. Supported by multitudinous quotes of famous or just clever people, I coloured butterflies that become clouds that become cats that become elephants with flowers in their heads... Very conservative at first, I discovered how one not specially creative can become a true "artist" - or at least feel like one. Playing with colours and forms having only your imagination as the limit can indeed be very funny. And relaxing.In fact, IT IS funny and relaxing... loved it!So, next time my husband comes with the idea of a romantic vacation in some charming beach in the Caribbean or anywhere else, I will only think of the rewards of arriving and staying there - no longer of how painful flying in used to be...And, of course, will soon order a few extra copies of "The colouring book for adults, travel size".Just in case :)
1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Sad excuse for a coloring book By MM Disappointing book - pages are thin and designs are lackluster (there is a full page of squiggly lines). Some designs are so small, there is not much to color. This book seems to be a haphazard collection of drawings and designs. For the same price, I can buy a higher quality full size adult coloring book. I don't often return things on Amazon - but this is going back.
