1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. elvis By Brenda an interesting read of a rise from rags to riches. elvis had unquestionable talent. sad that so many exploited his time and energy to the point his life became from normal followed by depression that ultimately took his life. i am a fan..love his music..hate that his entire life was so tragic. however his heart was in his music which he obviously loved and it gave him much joy. his wonderful music is the reason the king lives on and will for generations to come. suggest you read this book..you will then hear better the great love and pain and joy that flowed from this man. althougj many songs were sung by others before elvis..it was elvis experiences that breathed life into them.

It has a good timeline of Elvis's life and career. There are some ofElvis's experiences that are touched on that would have been more interesting with a few more facts, but overall it keptme reading and I found it a good and interesting book about Elvis.

He talked about some of music, movies and Colonel parker.
