5 of 5 people found the following review helpful. A Real Mood Lifter By Colleen Walsh Fong This is an easy and fun read that most Americans will find extremely relatable. The author takes readers through her zany, action packed life, encouraging us to laugh along with her about the crazy situations she finds herself in. It's the perfect book to read if you're having a stressful day. I predict you'll laugh out loud often.
3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. Laughing all the way By M. Thornburg I have never met Lori Duff, but I love her. She can make me laugh at just about anything, including eyeball surgery. Yes, humor is a subjective thing, and what strikes me as funny may not strike you that way, but I'm willing to bet that a high percentage of the short chapters in this book WILL strike you that way. I read a few of them out loud to my husband and they made him laugh too, which is a difficult thing to do unless you are John Cleese or Soupy Sales (sorry, Ms. Duff – no comparison intended.)The thing I like best about this book, I think, is that most of the subjects she muses on and most of the incidents she describes are perfectly ordinary, things we all think about from time to time, or things that have happened to many of us. (Well, not all of them – for example I've never had an armadillo trapped in the bathroom, and I hope you haven't either.) It's just her take on these things that cracks me up. She seems like someone I'd enjoy knowing. I would love to sit at a table with her and hear her tell me about her day. I'd just have to be on constant guard against snorting coffee out my nose.

By Brian Moloney -The Freelance Retort Let’s face it...everyone’s had a clumsy confrontation with an Armadillo at one time or another. That awkward moment when words just aren’t enough to ease the embarrassment a simple creature must feel when he or she finds his or herself lost in your master bathroom...instead of the less formal, powder room reserved for guests downstairs. Hey...it’s just a leathery armored Dasypodidae...what does it know of southern social conventions. But these are exactly the types of situations that Lori Duff excels at chronicling. She finds the humor...in EVERYTHING. And she'll help you find it too. Buy this book...it will make you laugh. Even the Armadillos among us....
