Satire Writ Large By Joe Ferguson Hilarity reigns when Emil Lampost, a likable buffoon who would rather smoke pot and loaf around, is forced to run formayor by greedy, power-hungry father, Ralph. Ralph's take-no-prisoners style of capitalism embodies all that is wrongwith the political and economic landscape of the united States today, while Emil's goofy demeanor and endless stream ofmalapropisms leaves little doubt just who is being skewered in this satiric tour de force. But don't let the blarney foolyou; the cast of amusing, affable, and precisely-drawn characters, elevates Terre Bluff beyond mere lampoon into the realm ofliterature with a capital "L." Well done, Ms. Knauer Morgan. Well done indeed.

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Absolutely Hysterical By Leidig Lars Sandy Knauer is a force to be reckoned with. She has a rapier wit and it comes across brilliantly in this book about the campaign for mayor in small town Terre Bluff. You'll know almost immediately who the inspiration was for the main character, but even if you don't see the connection, you'll laugh your way through this marvel of a book. I really wish she would write a sequel. I hate to have my relationship with these characters be over.
