About the Author Monika Mira is an avid conservationist, outdoor enthusiast. She is the author of the award-winning educational coloring textbook, The Complete Hawaiian Reef Fish Coloring book and has worked on numerous projects to help conserve Hawaii's natural resources. More recently she has been working on fun cultural art and has illustrated the best-selling Day of the Dead Sugar Skull Coloring Book. Mira holds a BA in Marine science from the University of Hawaii at Hilo.

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Meh. By Anastasia Boring. Looked more like a child's coloring book. A few pages were okay, some were very tacky, and a few are just plain skulls. It does the trick but I wouldn't buy again.

I know it said full size skeleton pages so that was to be expected, but honestly even the plain no frills skeleton was better than some of the other sugar skull pages. I bought the book because I can't draw the intricate patterns that I admire about most sugar skulls, but its obvious neither could the collaborators of this book. My 3 yr old neice scribbled on one of the blank skulls and I filled in the white spaces she left and that skull looked better than some of the art in this coloring book.

The pictures are big so if you have trouble staying in the lines this is for you. honestly it is kind of a boring book. I found 2 skulls I enjoyed coloring and have not picked it up since then. Just does not hold my interest.
